Wake Forest man allegedly drags ABC law enforcement officers with SUV

RALEIGH

The officers were investigating controlled substance and parking violations at the ABC store on Appliance Court in Raleigh when, police said, Mario Dion Hartsfield dragged the agents with his Jeep Liberty as they were trying to stop him for questioning.

The two ABC officers were not seriously hurt.

Hartsfield, 36, has been charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon on a government official, as well as resisting a public officer, fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, and possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana.

He is currently in jail on $263,000 bond.
