Suspect arrested in Raleigh triple shooting, victims identified

RALEIGH

Police say 24-year-old Joel Fitzgerald Hamlin Jr. has been charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The shooting happened at Tipton and Coleman streets.

Police have identified the victims of the shooting as Anthony Marcell McLean Jr., 23, Sandy Lammaric Spence, 29, and Joshua Qurain Walker, 22.

All three victims were taken to WakeMed. Police say none of them suffered life-threatening injuries.

Hamlin was taken to the Wake County Detention Center.
