'Cold' Knightdale bank robbery suspect sought

KNIGHTDALE

Around 10:15 a.m. Friday, police said the man walked into Vantage South Bank on Knightdale Boulevard and passed a letter to a teller demanding money.

The note also implied he had a weapon.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Surveillance video showed the suspect wearing an argyle knitted hat, sunglasses and a black coat.

The suspect is described as a white male with olive complexion in his early to mid 30s with a small build -- standing between 5'8" to 5'10" tall and weighing 140 to 160 pounds.

He was last seen going south on Smithfield Road toward U.S. Highway 64 in a black Ford Ranger truck, which was a single cab model from the mid to late 2000s

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Knightdale Police at (919) 217-2261.
