Robbery suspect arrested, second sought in Fayetteville crime spree

FAYETTEVILLE

Fayetteville police say a tip led them to a mobile home on Paddlefish Drive Monday where they say Malcolm Autry was hiding out. He's now in custody.

Police say Autry and a suspect, Corey McMillain weren't just a couple of petty thieves but very dangerous criminals. They warn the public not to cross paths with McMillain.

"Do not approach him. Don't try to take him in custody," said Fayetteville Police Lt. Todd Joyce. "Please call 911."

Police say McMillain and Autry are wanted in connection with robbing a man in the parking lot of a Murchison Road store.  Autry is also wanted on attempted robbery at a Bragg Boulevard automotive shop.

Police say the pair is wanted in connection with at least four armed robbery attempts last Friday and Saturday. Together and separately, police say the armed duo is suspected in several crimes including auto theft, over the past several months.

Police say more charges against the two men could be pending. At this point, detectives say the pair are not connected to recent robberies at an adult boutique store, and tattoo business last week.
