It happened on the 1200 block of Berkshire Road around 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police say two people came to the residence and confronted a man inside the home. An altercation ensued between the three and one of the subjects was stabbed in the side.
One person was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
Police say it appears that all parties involved already knew each other.
As of 2:15 p.m., investigators remained on the scene.
