It happened along NC Highway 98 at Breedlove Avenue in east Durham just before noon, right as schools were releasing early due to inclement weather.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol said the bus was attempting a turn when it pulled into the path of an oncoming car.
Three people in the car were taken to Duke with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Chip Sudderth with Durham Public Schools, eight high school students from City of Medicine Academy were on board Bus 418. None were hurt.
The bus driver was charged with failure to yield the right of way.
