It happened around 9:20 p.m. in the 500 block of Pineland Street.
Investigators said the teen is listed in critical condition at UNC Hospital after he was shot in the face and shoulder.
Officers are currently looking for 21-year-old Pierre Alexander Amerson, of Bella Bridge Road in Harnett County. They have warrants for assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflict serious injury, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
