Death at Cary laundromat ruled a homicide

CARY, N.C.

Eriberto Bosques, 31, of Cary, was found dead inside Wash Tub Laundry, which is right off Maynard Road and Chatham Street.

Authorities say a worker from a cleaning service came in around 9 a.m. and discovered Bosques dead, laying face down on the floor.

Monday, the State Medical Examiner's Office ruled Bosques' death was a homicide. The cause of death has not been released due to the ongoing investigation.

"While there isn't much about the investigation we can share, based on the autopsy and what we've learned so far, we do not believe this was a random act," said Criminal Investigations Lt. Steve Fonke. "Our thoughts are with Mr. Bosques' family and friends as we work to find out what happened to their loved one."

Anyone near the area during the time of the incident is encouraged to contact the Town of Cary Police Department at (919) 469-4012 or file a report anonymously with Cary Crime Stoppers at (919) 460-4636.

The laundromat is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and there is no attendant.
