50 animals taken from Sampson County home

CLINTON, N.C.

Now, SAFE Haven for Cats in Raleigh says they have nearly a dozen of the cats. The rest went to Sampson County Animal Control.

The dogs are being cared for by the Wake County SPCA.

At last report, no charges have been filed, but authorities are still investigating.

As for the animals, SAFE Haven's executive director says none were vaccinated and some need extensive dental work.

They should be ready for adoption in a couple weeks.
