Danielle Locklear's family waits for positive ID of body found

HOPE MILLS, N.C.

Monday, authorities requested any X-ray records of the teen.

The family tells ABC11 they are anxious and still praying a lot, as everyone waits for a positive ID to come back from the medical examiner's office, even though the family has been told by investigators that they are 90 percent sure they recovered the teen's body last week.

Until then, there are still a lot of signs, even billboards up, that send out the message of "help find Danielle."

As investigators come closer to cluing the public in on the case, a message from Locklear's official social media page reads, "Somebody knows what happened. I promise you were are not giving up."

Over the weekend, and in connection with Locklear's disappearance, authorities from Cumberland County, Hope Mills and the FBI executed search warrants on two properties -- one off of Highway 210 in Autryville, near the South River where the female's body was recovered last week. The other search was of a home off Deep Creek Road in Fayetteville.

In both places, investigators took items and they interviewed several people. Details on those searches are not yet available through public records.

Meanwhile, Hope Mills police were expecting to announce the ID of that body found in the river no later than Tuesday.
