The Great Human Race is set for March 24 in Durham

DURHAM, NC -- Thousands of runners will take part in the 23rd annual "The Great Human Race," Saturday in Durham, North Carolina.

Most 5k road races raise money for a specific cause, but with this event that's not the case.

This race supports hundreds of non-profits, schools and faith-based groups.

The 23rd annual walk and run begins March 24 at 9:30 a.m. at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park
