A Broadway event in North Carolina will raise money for Hurricane Florence victims.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- It's been more than a month since Hurricane Florence devastated parts of North Carolina.

The clean up and rebuilding process will take months.

Fortunately, some Broadway stars are using their voices to raise money for those in need. A fundraiser called "Broadway Sings for Florence" is happening at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at Meymandi Concert Hall in Raleigh.

The event features the North Carolina Symphony and five Broadway stars.

A similar Broadway benefit in 2016 raised more than $56,000 for hurricane relief following Hurricane Matthew.
