California driver rescued from fiery wreck

California rescue teams worked tirelessly to save a driver trapped inside his flame-engulfed car.

The Highway Patrol said a Hyundai was trying to pass slower traffic and slammed head-on into a Volkswagen.

The driver of the VW was trapped inside with the flames raging. Moments after the crash, troopers arrived and used a squad car to push the VW away, gaining access to the driver's side door.

The fire department arrived and finished the rescue, pulling the driver to safety.
