Apex PD holds charity yard sale
Selling donated items, the Apex PD holds yard sale on May 30 to benefit SafeChild.

APEX (WTVD) -- For weeks, donations have been pouring in for the Apex Police Department's second annual charity yard sale to benefit SAFEChild, an acronym for Stop Abuse For Every child.

SAFEChild is a Wake County child abuse prevention agency that works directly with families offering parent education and support services.

The goal for each family turning to SAFEchild is the same: To build a stronger family and create a healthy, nurturing environment which allows children to thrive. SAFEchild's mission: To eliminate child abuse in Wake County by helping adults and children create nurturing environments free from abuse and neglect.

The yard sale will take place on Saturday, May 30 from 7am-4pm at the corner of Corner of Highway 55 and Mason Street in Apex.
