ABC11 sponsors Latin-American Festival in Carrboro

CARRBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- A celebration of Latin culture in Carrboro on Sunday included live music, colorful dancing, authentic food, and much more.

Families and folks from all types of backgrounds enjoyed the Latin-American Festival, put on by the El Centro Hispano Organization.

El Centro said the day is all about having people of all nationalities share in the experience.

"Because we share different aspects of ourselves in the different tastes, and the different arts and dancing, and also because we show we have more similarities than differences with other ethnicities," said El Centro's President and CEO Pilar Rocha-Goldberg.
