It happened close to the Johnson County line on Branch Road near Farmdale Road. Firefighters got the call from a passing driver who saw the smoke.

The blaze quickly got through the roof of the home, gutting the center part of the structure.

Pictures from chopper 11 HD showed a large white painted home with large plantation style columns at the front. It appeared that the fire started in the center part of the house because that's where the heaviest damage was, but that had not been confirmed by investigators.

No one was hurt in the fire.

Firefighters said there was little they could do to save the house by the time they arrived. The fought the blaze from defensive positions outside to try and save what they could.

Investigators said once the blaze cooled, they would go in and try and find what sparked the fire.

The address is the home of Long Branch Farm, which is a boarding facility for horses. The house that caught fire is not part of the barn that holds horses, and no horses were injured.
