Deputies say there was a confrontation and the homeowner was shot. That person was taken to WakeMed and is expected to be OK.
Authorities have not released the person's name and there is no word on any arrests.

The sheriff's offices says it happened around 8:30 p.m. at a home on Creech Johnson Road. That's southeast of Zebulon.
