The recordings could be released to the public after the review.
Such recordings are generally considered public records, but law enforcement sometimes tries to shield those recordings from release if they consider them evidence in a criminal case.
Garner police told Eyewitness News that they hope to have the recordings sometime Friday but don't know how long their review will take.
Friday morning ATF agents began interviewing plant workers about what they saw and heard before and after the explosion that. The interviews are taking place at the Garner United Methodist Church.
