ConAgra investigators review 911 calls

One part of the investigation into Tuesday's explosion at the ConAgra plant in Garner will include a review of all emergency communications from that day. The Wake County Emergency Communications Center is compiling recordings of 911 calls and radio traffic from emergency responders.

The recordings could be released to the public after the review.

Such recordings are generally considered public records, but law enforcement sometimes tries to shield those recordings from release if they consider them evidence in a criminal case.

Garner police told Eyewitness News that they hope to have the recordings sometime Friday but don't know how long their review will take.

Friday morning ATF agents began interviewing plant workers about what they saw and heard before and after the explosion that. The interviews are taking place at the Garner United Methodist Church.
