Cumberland County officials say 22-year-old Eboney Shea James is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
Investigators say James and 23-year-old Kenneth John Holmes, III, both of 5711 Scrub Oak Court, Fayetteville got into an argument that turned violent. James, according to Holmes, grabbed a large knife and began swinging it at him --nearly severing his fingers.
Authorities say shortly after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, James surrendered to Cumberland County Sheriff's Detectives.
She is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond. James will make her first court appearance on Wednesday.
