Police search for suspect in mall shooting

ROCKY MOUNT

Police say the shooting began in the mall located at 1100 North Wesleyan Blvd. around 7 p.m. Saturday night and continued outside.

Officers arriving on the scene said they spotted three teens running from the mall. One of them was caught and another was located shortly after.

The third male, a 15-year-old juvenile, was detained behind the Star City at Hilltop Plaza. All three were taken into custody and questioned.

An unnamed 14-year-old along with 16-year-old Murray Chamberlin were charged with resisting an officer. The 15-year-old was released after questioning.

Police say they haven't found any guns yet. There was some damage inside the mall to a wall and some glass doors.

Warrants have been issued for Risheem Robinson for four counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
