The Pinehurst Police Department and FBI want to talk to a man who was seen in a bank several days before a robbery.

They have a surveillance picture of the person who came into the RBC Centura Bank at 25 Chinquapin Road. They say he's a person of interest and wanted for questioning.

A few days after the man came into the bank, a robber surprised the first employee to arrive for work on January 4. A witness said the robber was a white man, about six feet tall, slender build and had a very polite demeanor and tone. He was wearing a mask and threatened the employee with a gun.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Pinehurst Police at (910) 295-3141 or the Charlotte Division of the FBI at (704) 377-9200. Get more information about North Carolina bank robbery investigations at www.ncbankrobbers.com.
