Body found in Raleigh

February 4, 2010 9:44:32 AM PST
Detectives are investigating the discovery of a body in a park along Fayetteville Street in Raleigh Thursday.

Police have not identified the man, but said he was a known homeless person.

They do not think foul play was involved. An autopsy will determine if weather was to blame for the death or if it was a medical condition.

A nearby homeless shelter told ABC11 it was familiar with the man and knew where he was spending the night Wednesday. It said it encouraged him to come indoors. There was space in the shelter available, but he refused.
