Durham Suntrust bank robbed

DURHAM

Police say the suspect walked into the SunTrust at 3421 North Roxboro Road around 9:42 a.m., showed a hand written note to a teller and ran out with an undisclosed amount of money.

Sources tell ABC11 Eyewitness News the suspect may be a suspected serial robber who is possibly responsible for at least four other recent bank robberies, including three in Durham and one in Raleigh.

The suspect in Tuesday's robbery was wearing a long sleeve, button up shirt and a light blue, New York Yankee's baseball hat with the letters "NY" displayed on the front.
