Police seek suspect in BB and T robbery

DURHAM

Police say a man entered the BB and T branch at 5028 North Roxboro Rd. around 2:20 p.m. He handed a teller a note demanding money.

Tellers told police the man said he had a weapon, but they did not see one. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He is described as a black male in his 40s or 5os. He's 5'11" and approximately 165 pounds. He had short hair and a medium to dark complexion. He was wearing sunglasses, blue jeans and a dark sweatshirt.

There was a similar robbery on April 1 at a SunTrust branch on North Roxboro Road. Police say they are looking into the possibility that the two robberies may be related.
