Mayor Tony Chavonne announced Tuesday he wants a fourth term in office.

In a re-election campaign announcement, Chavonne touted his record - saying that "Over the last 6 years Fayetteville has moved forward in the journey to a more attractive, clean and peaceful city."

Chavonne also claimed he's helped restore confidence in local government.

Chavonne doesn't have any announced completion.

The Fayetteville Observer reports he may face Fayetteville City Councilman Ted Mohn, who has been considering whether to run.
