Assault suspect sought in Chapel Hill

Police in Chapel Hill are looking for the person responsible for an attack on a woman in broad daylight.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of East Franklin Street.

The police report shows investigators believe the man had sexual motives when he grabbed the woman. She yelled out for help and that quick thinking that may have prevented her from being the victim of a more serious crime The suspect fled when the woman ran yelled for help.

Investigators only have a vague description of the suspect but they say he may have been driving a blue Ford Explorer. Anyone with information should call police.
