A spokesperson for the Fayetteville Police Department said Jonathan Speight, 39, earned the nickname for a series of burglaries involving coin-operated machines.
Speight's latest arrest came Sunday - just two months after he was released by the North Carolina Department of Correction.
Just before 7 a.m., officers went to the Hot Diggity Dog restaurant at 1118 Ramsey St. for an intruder alarm. When they got there, an officer said he saw Speight leaving the area on a bicycle. A back wall of the business was knocked in and quarters were missing from an American Cancer Society display.
Officers said when they approached Speight, he dropped a handful of quarters.
He was taken to the Cumberland Co. Jail and held under $3,000 bond.
According to prison records, Speight has more than 20 breaking and entering arrests dating back to 2000.
