Man grazed by bullet inside car

DURHAM

Public Information Officer Durham Kammie Michael said a man was inside his car around noon when a bullet hit the side of his vehicle and grazed his hip. Police believe the shots were fired during a robbery on South Guthrie Avenie off Angier Avenue.

Chopper 11 HD spotted officers around a Jeep Grand Cherokee with its door open.

The victim was treated on the scene for a minor injury.

A bullet also struck a moving car on Angier Avenue, but no one inside that car was injured.

Authorities were searching for two suspects who were seen fleeing the scene on foot. The first was described as a 5' 11" African American man with a medium build wearing a light blue and white striped zip-up hoodie and baggy pants. He has shoulder length hair in either dreads or braids, as well as a goatee. He has two teardrops tattooed on his face.

Another suspect was described as a tall African American man wearing a black hoodie.

Police blocked off Angier Avenue at South Driver Street and brought in a K-9 to search for the men and woman.

No charges have been filed at this time.
