Sisters Abby and Anna Morefield were walking home from the bus stop in Craven County Friday afternoon when a lightning strike hit right near them. The strike knocked the 9 and 12-year-old girls to the ground, and EMS crews were called to their home.
WCTI spoke to the girls, who said they had odd, flower-shaped marks on their arms right after the lightning strike.
Otherwise, the girls were not injured.
