Fayetteville police said the accident happened on Raeford Road shortly after 1 p.m.
The driver of a Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound on Raeford Road when he made a left turn into Westpark Apartments at Laneridge Way.
While crossing Raeford Road, the truck was struck in the side by a Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling westbound on Raeford Road.
Thirty-two-year-old Edward Griener, Jr., of Tarentum, Pa., was taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital where he later died due to his injuries.
The driver of the truck, 63-year-old Charles Madison, of Raeford, was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. He was not injured during the accident.
Police said the accident remains under investigation.
