The daughter of Raleigh's police chief has been cited by police.

Twenty-five-year-old Lauren Dolan was charged with three counts of simple assault Monday evening after a fight in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Bella Park Trail.

In a written statement, Chief Harry Dolan said, "Yesterday afternoon, my adult daughter became intoxicated and was involved in an altercation. She must now confront the resulting charges. We are working as a family to get my daughter the help she needs."

Twenty-three-year-old Emily Brune was charged with one count of simple assault in the same incident.
