Suspect robs Fayetteville store at gunpoint

Fayetteville police are searching for a man accused of robbing a store at gunpoint.

Police said a man robbed into the Discount Smoke Shop on South Reilly Road at gunpoint shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday.

Officials said the suspect was wearing an orange mask and made it out of the store with cash and personal property belonging to a store employee.

After reviewing surveillance footage, detectives identified the suspect as 26-year-old Jeffrey Stewart. A warrant has been taken out for his arrest and he will be charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Steward is described as 5 feet, 11 inches weighing 150 pounds with a tattoo of a dragon on his forearm.

Police said there have been other warrants taken out against Steward in connection to other crimes committed near Cliffdale and Reilly Roads. He is wanted in several other crimes including breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle.
