Israel Vladimir Ramirez Lopez, 33, of Salvone Court in Durham, was killed early Sunday morning walking along Holloway Street.
Omar Bryant Travis Jr., 30, of Durham, was arrested Tuesday.
Police said they found the vehicle Travis was allegedly driving parked just down the street from the accident.
Bond for Travis was set at $10,000.
