Fire displaces 9 people in Durham

Firefighters were busy Sunday afternoon battling a Durham house fire.

Firefighters were busy Sunday afternoon battling a Durham house fire.

It started on the first floor of the home in the 200 block of North Driver Street.

Five adults and four children inside the house at the time made it out safely.

The flames were contained in 20 minutes.

Authorities do not know the cause yet, but there were no operating fire alarms in the home.

The Red Cross is assisting the family.
