Police responded to the 1100 block of Juniper Drive around 8:40 a.m. Sunday.
Upon arrival, officers found 28-year-old Williams Amail Howard lying on the ground outside the apartments with a puncture wound to his neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Around 2:20 p.m., police arrested 30-year-old Lynard Jerome McCormick and charged him with murder.
Police are not releasing a motive at this time, but they say McCormick did live with the victim on and off.
McCormick is currently being held in Lee County Jail under no bond.
