Raleigh marathon photo faux pas

RALEIGH

The image said there are just 20 days until the marathon takes over downtown Raleigh. However, the photo in the background was of the Durham skyline.

After someone pointed out the error, organizers quickly took the photo down. A spokesperson for the race said the image has been corrected, and called it an honest mistake.

Local race leaders said they were not offended by the image. They are just focusing on the branding of the event that's sure to put Raleigh on the sports map.

The race is April 13. It starts at South Salisbury Street, between Davie and Cabarrus.
