19-year old Jonathan Antonio Richardson allegedly entered his victim's home wielding a two and a half foot sword and demanding money.
The victim, 20-year-old Nicholas James Rizzuto of Spring Lake told investigators Richardson began threatening him and two others inside the home with the sword when they refused to give him money. Richardson managed to get away on foot with the victim's cell phone.
Richardson is charged with first degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and two counts of attempted robbery with a deadly weapon. He is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a 170 thousand dollar secured bond. A first court appearance is scheduled in the Detention Center courtroom at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
