Shooting suspect linked to robberies, murder

RALEIGH Surveillance video shows a man walking in and jumping over the counter.

The video is from the robbery that occurred the night of September 10 at the Mexico Lindo store located at 4010 Wake Forest Road. During the robbery, the suspect shot store employee, 25-year-old Modesta Fernandez-Lucas.

The appears to be approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall with an athletic build. He was wearing a hooded camouflage jacket and pants, a camouflage face mask and black boots.

Police say the same guy may also be responsible for a deadly robbery.

In April, someone robbed the Wilco convenience store on Trawick Road and shot the clerk, Stephanie Anderson. She died a short time later.

Police think the same man is responsible for several other robberies at Subway restaurants in the city.

There is a reward for anyone with information that materially assists the investigation of the case. Anyone who thinks they might know the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department's Detective Division at (919) 890-3555 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 226-CRIME.
