Raleigh ponders dog ordinance

Raleigh leaders want to have a say in how long you can tether your dog. The city doesn't have an animal tethering ordinance as most other towns do.

They usually either restrict the kinds of ropes or chains that can be used or the amount of time an animal can be tied up.

Raleigh does have rules that animals have adequate shelter. The city attorney will draft an anti-tethering ordinance and report back to the council.
