Other students saw Britton with the unloaded weapon and told school officials.
Investigators say Britton told them he brought the gun the school to trade for a motorcycle.
He's charged with felony possession of a firearm on school campus.

FAYETTEVILLE Cumberland County deputies say they arrested 18-year-old Jonathan Britton of 6716 St. Julian Way at E.E. Smith High School Tuesday after finding a pistol in his book bag.
