Detectives looking for "Jay-Rock"

FAYETTEVILLE Jabesh Clarence Reid, 17, of Hope Mills has allegedly refused to turn himself in after learning there were outstanding warrants for his arrest and several attempts to talk with his parents about his surrender.

Investigators say Reid is one of four suspects who have broken into local homes and stole items from unsuspecting residents. His alleged accomplices have already been arrested.

Detectives say Reid is wanted for multiple counts of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods and conspiracy. They say he's part of a group of young men who target homes in southeastern Cumberland County. They allegedly steal electronics, military computers, televisions and jewelry.

Reid, who is also known as “Jay-Rock,” is described as a black male, six feet two inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and wears braces on his teeth.

Anyone who knows of Reid’s whereabouts should contact the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 323-1500 or you may make an anonymous call to the tips line at 484-TIPS (8477).
