The student, whose identity was not released, was allegedly approached by three suspects. One of the suspects pointed a gun at the student and then removed personal items from the student's pockets.
Police say the suspects then forced the victim to lie on the ground and then ran away from the scene toward Buchanan St.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Duke University Police Department at 684-2444.
