Man kills cat by kicking it

MESA, Ariz. Officers arrested 28-year-old Jeremy Tuffly after receiving a DVD showing him trying to feed a kitten to a python.

On the video, there are several attempts to get the snake to eat the kitten.

(Not shown on video)When that didn't work, Tuffly allegedly kicks the animal like a football to kill it. He was arrested at his home and is charged with one count of animal cruelty.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio said the incidents happened in 2004, but the statute of limitations on animal cruelty is seven years.

The sheriff said he plans to aggressively prosecute the case.
