Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run

FAYETTEVILLE Police said the victim was hit in the 300 block of North Eastern Blvd. just before 8:45 p.m.

The unidentified man was found lying in the roadway when police arrived. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The victim's name is not being released at this time until the man's family is notified.

An investigation is ongoing and no further information has been released.
