Pedestrian hit, killed by Fayetteville driver

FAYETTEVILLE Authorities say around 8:30 p.m., the pedestrian walked onto Raeford Road near Hope Mills Road and was struck by a Honda Accord.

There was no crosswalk where the pedestrian tried to cross.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified at this time, dead as a result of his injuries.

The driver of the Honda, 27-year-old Charles Council III, was not injured in the accident.

Fayetteville police are currently investigating the incident and no charges have been filed at this time.
