Deputies solve break-ins in three counties

RALEIGH

Over 400 charges have been filed against Gregory Kenneth Poole, 19, Donald Michael Jenkins, 19, Thomas Lee Jenkins, 18, Eric Christopher Jones, 22, and Jaquares Devante Purdie, 17.

"This investigation is an excellent example of law enforcement agencies working together to solve cases," said Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison. "By joining forces and sharing information, we cleared approximately 70 of our car break-ins here in Wake County alone."

More charges were filed in Harnett and Johnston Counties. Harrison said after three months of detective work, several members of the alleged theft ring were caught selling stolen items out of a van at a racetrack near Dunn.

Harrison said the arrests were also a lesson for the public. Most of the break-ins happened when cars were left unlocked.
