Suspect allegedly cooks enough meth for himself

FAYETTEVILE

Officers went to a home on Radial Drive to serve felony warrants on 33-year-old Shirley Pinella but smelled chemicals and saw items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Police then obtained a search warrant to search the residence. Once inside, they discovered a meth lab.

Investigators say the suspect, 32-year-old Donald Lowe, Sr., had been conducting meth cooks, which produced enough product for his consumption.

Lowe is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a chemical precursor for manufacturing and maintaining a dwelling for manufacturing. His bond is set at $25,000.

Police also arrested Pinella, the woman who they originally went to arrest. She is charged with three counts of forgery of instrument and two counts of uttering of forgery instrument.
