The airline announced Tuesday that it will suspend five non-stop daily flights between the Triangle and Boston on Sept. 7.
A spokesman says the carrier is ending the flights to concentrate on flying to and from its "cornerstone" hubs in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas and Chicago.
The spokesman says the flight option to Boston was unprofitable for the airliner in the last year.
