Crane causes pavement issue in Raleigh

RALEIGH According to Jim Sughrue, public information officer for Raleigh Police, the issue will mean the closure of all but one lane of McDowell Street in the area between Edenton Street and Jones Street.

Sughrue says maintenance crews will have to evaluate the condition of the pavement in that area once the crane moves.

That should happen around 8 p.m. Saturday night, when the permit for the crane expires.

There is currently no estimate for the resumption of normal traffic flow.
