A car slammed head-on with a motorcycle on Highway 301 between Crestview and Kay drives in Smithfield.
Two people were on the bike and they were thrown at least 40 feet at impact. The driver and his passenger were taken to WakeMed.
There is no word on their conditions. No charges have been filed.
The names of the victims have not been released.
